The Alerta Air Mattress Evacuation Sheet is designed to be permanently positioned beneath an alternating air mattress, providing a secure and effective means of transporting individuals during emergency evacuations. Compatible with both Overlay and Replacement air mattress systems, it ensures versatile application across various mattress types.
During an evacuation, the sheet converts the entire mattress into a controlled evacuation sledge, aided by its flexible and slippery underside, allowing safe movement through doorways and down stairs.
Key safety features include a foot protector sheet to secure the user’s feet or lower legs, convenient access slots for CPR and air tubes to maintain mattress functionality, and soft materials that ensure continuous pressure relief during everyday use.
Evacuation is performed by placing the foot protector over the patient’s lower legs, securing with chest and leg straps while keeping arms free, disconnecting the air tubes from the pump with the transport cap applied, and utilising two operators—one pulling from the foot end and another guiding from the head end.
