Freeway Transactive Xtra Ceiling Hoist
The Freeway Transactive Xtra is a versatile ceiling hoist designed to help transfer individuals with limited mobility, ensuring comfort and support throughout the movement. This easy-to-operate ceiling track hoist minimises the strain on caregivers, making it ideal for daily use in both professional and homecare settings. Installed at ceiling level, it saves valuable floor space and improves mobility within the area. The system can be set up across multiple rooms, and an optional H-system allows full access to the entire floor space, making it an efficient solution for lifting and transferring people.
Key features of the hoist include a compact, low-profile design, a high-capacity battery, and a generous lifting range of up to 2000mm. The hoist is equipped with advanced safety mechanisms and diagnostic tools. For optimal performance, it should be paired with a suitable ceiling track system and a sling. It can lift clients up to 270kg and offers flexible installation options with a variety of track configurations.
The Freeway Transactive Xtra is available with either a manual or powered traverse, and additional features include:
- Quick-release trolley (QRT) – Available with the manual traverse, this feature enables quick removal of the hoist for easy maintenance or replacement.
- Constant charge – Provides continuous power on a straight track section, ensuring the battery is always ready for use (available for Prism Medical UK tracks only).
- Powered H-system – Allows movement in all directions (forward, backward, and side-to-side), enabling access to any point within the tracks. The hoist can also be fixed in one position to prevent unintended movement.
- Powered turntable – Creates junctions between tracks, allowing the client to be easily moved to different locations with a single hoist.
- Return to charge – Automatically returns the hoist to its charging station, ensuring it's ready when needed.
The Freeway Transactive Xtra is proudly designed, assembled, and tested in the UK.
